Identification, occurrence and host range of tomato powdery mildew (Oidium lycopersici) in the Czech Republic.
Original language description
Tomato powdery mildew (O. lycopersici), for the first time recorded in former Czechoslovakia in 1988, during last decade regularly occurs at several localities in the Czech Republic. The basic morphological characteristics of Czech O. lycopersici isolatewas given. The teleomorph (sexual stage) of pathogen was not found till now, moreover the attempt to initiate formation of cleistothecia under laboratory conditions failed. In host range studies 70 species of 20 genera of Solanaceae and 7 species of Cucurbitaceae were tested under controlled conditions with Czech O. lycopersici isolate.
