Experimental comparison of the informational efficiency of human vision for charts with dotted and line structure
Original language description
Human visual system is considered an imperfect communication channel, and there is experimentally investigated its ability to recognize the various charts with dotted and line structure which are presented suddenly and randomly to an observer. Such ability is represented by the so-called informational efficiency of human vision. The basic equation of that quantity is derived and also the principle of the used incoherent projection measuring method is described. Some obtained results are evaluated and compared.
