Original language description
The contribution focuses on the phenomenon of sensorial perception of oral speech from the point of view of logopaedics in the broader context of its contextual and subject-related impact. Apart from highlighting the specifics of auditory and visual perception of oral speech, the author also calls attention to the ever increasing significance of oral sensoric in the context of articulating a spoken word, its association with the development and quality of tactile perception (including perception by means of oral stereognosis) and its meaning in compensatory strategies and technologies applied in special needs education. The author appends the results of her own researches within the sphere of oral stereognosis in children with impaired hearing and those whose hearing is dependent on the quality of visual perception and oral-kinetic skills.
