Original language description
The study presents the results of a survey aimed at life satisfaction and subjective health assessment in current Czech university students (n = 522; average age 21.2 +- 1.29 years). The analysis covers a comparison of future teachers and students of physical culture and natural science. The monitored variables present signifi cant factors infl uencing the quality and level of university study and overall academic performance. The results of the survey indicate signifi cant diff erences in the diff erent variables in terms of gender diff erences and selected study specialization. The results of the study enrich the current theoretical background and are applicable in everyday work with students in the area of educational and psychological counselling in university.
