Topic: A study of current literature focusing on modern ways of remedying visual perception loss from the perspective of a special education teacher. In recent years, the number of new devices that use individual parts implanted in the eyes or brain of ahuman with a visual impairment and which restore visual perception has been rapidly increasing. These people then need comprehensive rehabilitation to know how to use these devices properly and follow the principles of working with them. With the changeof clients some special education teacher's tasks change too and are further discussed in the article. Method: This article is a review of journal posts from 2008-2013, selected to submit a brief overview of modern methods and devices designed to recover visual perception loss. The use of these devices is further connected with modern special education and special education teacher's work. Results: The study of the literature revealed that in modern age there are many electronic devices
