The contribution deals with the issue of pragmatic language level difficulties and their diagnostic recognition in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The data is based on the partial researches facing to the new evaluation material for assessing these communication differences in order to incorporate them in the changing conception of ASD and relative diagnoses. Some of the related issues are mentioned, e.g. the necessity of regarding speech and language therapy in view of pragmatic communication by considering them as being dependent on oral motor skills, motor ability (praxia), imitation, and other aspects of communication in ASD.
