Original language description
Lifelong learning is defined as learning that is carried throughout life: it is flexible, diverse and available in different times and different places. Lifelong learning can develop creativity and individual skills required for adaptability in a rapidly developing modern society. Teachers are expected to continually professionally educate, to acquire new knowledge, to get familiar with new trends in methodology and new teaching methods. The paper presents the results of research on the training needs of teachers in primary schools (research ENMT). The aim of the research ENMT was to identify and analyze training needs of teachers of mathematics. Based on the identified needs of mathematics teachers a new course Application of English language teaching in primary mathematics through CLIL was created. The article describes the newly created course clearly with emphasis on the opportunities arising from innovative interdisciplinary relationships of cross-curricular links of mathematics and English which are based on the use of CLIL.
