The study discusses the siblings of children with the hearing impairment. The siblings are both, the partners and rivals. Their relationship is influenced by many factors. One of the most serious factors which have an impact on siblings is the impairment of one of these siblings. The handicapped child can either disturb or unite the family. People with hearing impairment use different communication code. There can be a danger of a communication barrier. The impact of a poor-quality communication the relationship between siblings can be disrupted. The siblings play roles of guards and interpreters.
