    Student Evaluation of Online Learning: A Case Study

    This paper attempts to determine if the students at the Institute of Foreign Languages at Faculty of Education, Palacky University in Olomouc prefer synchronous or asynchronous learning and why. It provides an overview of most current expert recommendation on best practices in the field of online learning, and then tries to compare it with the students’ preferences in online learning experience. Using the method of open coding the paper analyses nine reports written by students of the master’s program Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in English Language at Palacky University. It collects data that provide some, but not conclusive answers to the selected research questions.
