Nowadays the implementation of eLearning is one of the most discussed priorities at universities. The whole problem acquires approach included in the strategy of given institution. From technical point of view it means building eLearning platform -- eLearning system. The paper is focused on the eLearning system ELIS and its architecture, conception and its difference from various used eLearning systems. This eLearning system is being developed at Mendel University in Brno by in-house way as a integral part of university systems. This fact classes the whole project into the group of interesting solutions of eLearning projects in the Czech Republic.

Implementace eLearningu představuje v současnosti jednu z nejdůležitějších aktivit v univerzitním prostředí. Z technického pohledu je třeba zabývat se především budováním eLearningového systému. Systém ELIS, který je vyvíjen na MZLU v Brně, je jedním zezajímavých projektů v ČR.
