Original language description

This paper is oriented to short description about problems of using XML applications in a process of integrated eLearning information system development. The focus is especially laid on areas of their using and possible range of using. XML applications are introduced as a tool for building an eLearning system linked by other university systems and software components. Basic principles and approaches described in paper rise from the practical needs of the eLearning system and its users at Mendel University in Brno.
