The Importance of International Visegrad Fund in Central Europe
Original language description
After World War II a need for internationalization in higher education emerged. Slowly were established exchange programmes among European countries such as Erasmus, AIESEC, Fulbright programme and so on. Students had the opportunity to travel crossing borders; get to know different cultures, make new friends and bring back new knowledge and project ideas. The same purpose had from the beginning International Visegrad Fund (IVF) that offers cooperation among Visegrad group (V4) countries - the Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic and surrounding countries. The IVF does not only provide scholarships that bring personal development to students but also provides help in cultural, scientific and educational projects. Knowledge and new experiences among students do not come down only Universities but they are transmitted to business life as well.
