Original language description
The paper contributes to Growth Theory by using non-standard methodological approach while researching a common topic among institutional economists. The paper focuses on the impact of selected aspects of company's external environment on their performance. By using Total Factor Productivity approach, the specific period of economic cycle and microeconomic evidence, it concludes with the specific factors of institutional framework. It finds out that the legal and political framework is positively correlated with the performance in less developed countries but the effect is negative in more developed ones. The openness of economy usually stimulates the performance as well as government expenditures. Macroeconomic performance is negatively correlated with the companies' performance due to the manager's perception.
