Amino acids determination in standard solution and feed mixture: an interlaboratory study
Original language description
In the interlaboratory study, 18 laboratories, determining the amino acids, participated from the Czech end Slovak Republics. The participating laboratories determined the amino acid content in the standard and feed mixtures after acid hydrolysis performed using the method applied in routine way by individual laboratories. Methods of statistical analysis were elaborated using the data by Montfort (1992), Houba et al. (1996) and the Circular Tests of the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture for analytical laboratories (1998). The most frequently, the results were eliminated in Tyr, Phe and His, the least in Ala. When amino acids were determined in the standard mixture, laboratories eliminated no results for Cys2 (cystine), in thefeed mixture for Pro, Ser, Ile and Leu. The reliability of result determination is affected, first of all, by the hydrolysis method used.
