During the laying period the changes in concentrations of plasma total lipids, cholesterol, glucose and urea were studied in the RIW laying line selected for the number of eggs laid during the eight month laying period. The feed mixtures were changed quaglucose 4,43+-0,51 mmol/l to 19,02+-5,25 mmol/l and urea 3,53+-0,98 mmol/l to 6,29+-2,51 mmol/l. The concentrations of the given biochemical indicators were also studied to contrast at the age of 25 weeks in other lines of hens originating from the RIW a
