Original language description
The application of selection indices is an opportunity to carry out selection for more characters. Basing on the estimated indicators for commercial importance and on knowledge of the genetic parametres of the population, one complete selection index( CSBohemian Spoted cattle. The partial indices were proposed for the indicator of milk performance - IML ( production of kg of fat and kg of proteins) and for meat performance - IMA ( net daily gain and dressing percentage). The proposed indices were calculof milk performance ( IML) was based on the estimated breeding values ( BV) for the production of proteins and for the production of fat : IML= 100+ 0,1529*BV of fat+ 0,6116*BV of proteins. The index of meat performance included the breeding values of th( jat V) : IMA = 100+ 0,7242*BV NettoP + 9,415* BV jat V. The total selection index ( CSI) was proposed as follows : CSI = 100+0,849* ( IML-100) +(0,563* ( IMA-100). The differences in breeding values ( BV) for some production traits were
