At Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno, in a new opened Bc. specialisation "Production and Distribution of the Food", there is not any subject with genetics orientation yet. There is the subject "Genetics of the Agriculture product" offered in present Bc. and in ending Mgr. specialisation "Technology of the Food", only. Owing to the fact that genetics is mingled with the food industry everywhere, for our students of food specialisations it is necessary to have the basic knowledge. Therefore our aim is to make the innovative genetic subject that would be directed on the application of the genetics to the food industry for Bc. specialisation. This subject is prepared like that it could be integrated for the reaccreditation of food specialisation as a obligatory facultative subject in the year 2006. It will be offered to about 130 students of food study specialisation on the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno.

Na MZLU v Brně není v nově otevřeném Bc. oboru Výroba a distribuce potravin nabízen žádný genetický předmět. V probíhajícím Bc. oboru a u končícího Mgr. oboru Technologie potravin je nabízen předmět Genetika zemědělských produktů. Vzhledem k tomu, že segenetika prolíná potravinářským průmyslem doslova na každém kroku, neobejdou se dnes absolventi potravinářských oborů bez jejich alespoň základních znalostí. Proto je naším cílem připravit pro Bc. obory inovovaný předmět z genetiky, který by byl zaměřenna aplikaci genetiky v potravinářství. Tento předmět je připravován tak, aby mohl být zařazen pro reakreditaci potravinářských studijních oborů v roce 2006 jako povinně volitelný. Bude vypisován pro cca 130 studentů potravinářského studijního programu naagronomické fakultě MZLU v Brně. Tento projekt vzniká díky podpoře MŠMT -- FRVŠ č. 2927/2005.
