The Image of Exocytosis during Neutrophils and Macrophages Phagocytic Activities in Inflammation of Mammary Gland Triggered by Experimental Staphylococcus aureus Infection

  • Original language description

The experiments were carried out in five clinically normal virgin heifers. Neutrophils as well as macrophages underwent a classic exocytosis accompanied by translocation of lysosomal granules. The granules filled the protuberances of the plasmalemma andafter the protuberances separated from the cell, they entered the extracellular space in the shape of round bodies of different sizes. After exocytosis, neutrophils displayed a smaller nucleus/cytoplasm ratio, a greater chromatin density of the nucleus, and an overall smaller size. Macrophages underwent cytolysis that was accompanied by extrusion of granules, phagosomes and phagolysosomes containing phagocytosed bacteria or apoptotic neutrophils. Nevertheless, macrophages often underwent cytolysis at the site of inflammation.

Obraz exocytózy během fagocytárních aktivit neutrofilů a makrofágů u zánětu mléčné žlázy vyvolaného experimentální infekcí Staphylococcus aureus.

  • Czech description

Pokusy byly realizovány na 5 klinicky zdravých jalovicích. Neutrofily a makrofáfy podstupovaly klasickou exocytózu doprovázenou translokací lysosomálních granulí. Granule vyplňovaly protuberance plasmalemy a poté se oddělovaly od buněk a vstupovaly do extracelulárního prostoru, ve tvary okrouhlých tělísek různé velikosti. Po exocytóze, neutrofily měly nízký nukleo/cytoplazmatický poměr, vysokou denzitu nukleárního chromatinu a menšíh velikosti. Makrofágy podstupovaly cytolýzu, jež byla doprovázena extruzí granulí, fagosomů a fagolysosomů obsahujících fagocytované bakterié a apoptotické neutrofily. Nicméně, makrofágy často podstupovaly cytolýzu právě v místě zánětu.
