Original language description

A new species from the Agetocera lobicornis species group, A. silva sp.nov. (southern Vietnam), is described, illustrated and compared with related species. The type material of an additional three species of this group, A. lobicornis Baly, 1865, A. nigripennis Laboissiere, 1927 and A. yunnana Chen, 1964, is examined. A lectotype is designated for A. lobicornis. All four species may be distinguished by the structure of the ninth antennomere in the male. Agetocera yunnana and A. nigripennis are recordedfrom Laos for the first time.
