Original language description
The study with 84 male broilers Ross 308 was focused on the effect of different doses of chamomile extract on their gut microflora. Control group of cockerels obtained feed mixture without chamomile extract. The second group obtained feed mixture with 0,3 % and third group 0,6 % of chamomile extract in feed mixture. The addition of 0,3 and 0,6% chamomile extract to the broilers diet had no effect on their growth. The highest number of CFU, sulphide-reducing clostridia, coliforms and lactic acid bacteriawas in the control group. Total plate count was highest in the group with addition 0,6 % of chamomile extract.
