The present thesis assesses variability of nutritional value of pastures in protected natural areas. The grass and herb pastures in the Moravian Karst and Mohelno Serpentine Steppe nature reserves show differences mainly in the mineral substance levels in the growth. Potential differences in nutritional values of individual grasslands must be addressed not only by adequate exploitation of the grazed land but also by appropriate addition of the missing nutrients insufficiently represented in the given area or present there in inappropriate proportions in the diet of the grazed animals.
