The Effects of Staphylococcus aureus on Leukocytes of the Bovine Mammary Gland
Original language description
Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most important pathogens causing bovine mastitis. In this respect, there is very important to study effects of staphylococcal infections on cell populations of the bovine mammary gland to improve knowledge how to prevent and treat staphylococcal mastitis. S. aureus can affect different cell processes as programmed cell death and expression of some cell receptors on leukocytes such as lymphocytes, neutrophils and macrophages of the mammary gland. This review summarizes information about the effect of 5. aureus infections on leukocytes of the bovine mammary gland.
