This study evaluated susceptibility and resistance of poultry red mites (Dermanyssus gallinae, PRM) to four commercially used acaricides (Milba STOP ultra, Elector, Poultry Shield, Byemite) by Method No. 11 from IRAC (Insecticide Resistance Action Committee) Susceptibility Test Methods Series. This is in vitro direct contact method. According to the method concentrations of acaricides were used as follow: 0% (acetone only control); 20%; 100% of the recommended field application rates. PRM from a farm with cage system for egg-laying hens in the Czech Republic in 2019 were used in this study. All used commercial acaricides caused mortality of PRM in all their stages of development. The evaluation of susceptibility and resistance of PRM to commercially used acaricides by Susceptibility rating scheme showed, that PRM were highly susceptible to acaricide Poultry Shield and resistant against acaricides Milba STOP ultra, Elector, Byemite on the farm.
