Conversion of somatic embryos of Picea abies (L.) Karst.
Original language description
Conifer multiplication via somatic embryogenesis has become routine technique in numerous laboratories although problems with conversion of somatic embryos and transfer of plantlets to unsterile conditions still exist. A significant problem regular rootgrowth and development. While cotyledons and hypocotyl of full developed somatic embryos start their growth in appropriate conditions the root does not grow at all or show aberrant development. Therefore, it is difficult to receive full developed plantlets capable of transfer to the soil. In our experiments, we investigated the conversion of Norway spruce somatic embryos. Isolated full developed somatic embryos were partially desicated. After 2-3 weeks of desication
