Changes in amino acids composition of goat´s colostrum during the first 72 hours after birth
Original language description
In goats of the Brown Short Polled breed of the 2nd and higher lactations, changes in amino acid composition of colostrum were studied from 2 to 72 hours after birth. In all amino acids, a marked drop occurred in their content (10-72%) during the periodof 2-12 hours after birth. In His and Ile, gradual increase was registered during the period of 12-48 hours. In Ser, Pro, Ala, Val, Lys, Thr, Leu and Arg, the decline occurs by 24 hours, followed by increase by 48 hours. In Asp and Met, the same course of values was registered, when, from 2 to 24 hours after the birth, a sharp drop occurred, followed by moderate increase by 36 hours and by sharp increase by 48 hours. Similarly in Tyr, Cys and Phe, the same course of the curve was registered showing thedecline by 36 hours after the birth. Except for Glu in all other amino acids, the break down occurred at 48 hours after the birth, when their increase set in again. After this period, the drop occurred in all amino acids.
