    Microcraspedus powelli sp.n. and Microcraspedus fontosus sp.n. of the gelechiid tribe Gnorimoschemini are described from California. These are at the same time the first two taxa of the genus Microcraspedus Janse, 1958 discovered in the Nearctic Region.The genus Microcraspedus is consequently the next Holarctic genus of the tribe. The forewing pattern and the genitalia of the newly described taxa are figured.
