The paper is concerned with market segmentation in terms of consumer lifestyle, values, attitudes and demographics in the apparel industry. First and foremost, the methodological background provides a theoretical treatment of multivariate statistical techniques assessing variability between data. Afterwards the practical use of psychographic and demographic information on example of target segment is demonstrated, findings are manifested within positioning map, and last but not least, the possible projection into advertising message to be communicated is suggested
