The paper is conceived as a scientific paper on the issue of substantial technical competencies that are necessary to become fully proficient project managers in the management of projects. Among the competences that are crucial for the project manager profession we can include: Risk management, Human resources management, Cost management, Conflict management and Crisis management and ethics of Project management as well. These abilities, knowledge and skills help them manage projects professionally, responsibly and successfully. This paper focuses on the three main technical competencies such as Risk management, Resource planning and Financial management.
