Modelling the process of strategic management in small and medium-sized entrepreneurship
Original language description
Researches and practice confirm that strategic management of a company with a focus on long-term strategic development is a key success factor. In particular, this area is underestimated by small and medium-sized enterprises and is often confused with tactical and operational management. The main aim of the paper is to identify strengths and weaknesses in the strategic management process in small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, based on which a model of the strategic management process in small and medium-sized entrepreneurship is created, which optimizes the entire monitored process. The main research methods are the analysis of internal documents, the method of personal interviewing, case study and modelling. The paper is based on the results of previous research activities. The results of the paper confirm that underestimating the role of strategic management reduces the likelihood of long-term development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship. The proposed model may be an option for small and medium-sized enterprises to overcome defined problem areas.
