Original language description
The article deals with issue of using active stabilization structures for protection of the banks in particular locality of water reservoir Brno - Osada area. In this locality, it was built- up several types of offshore active stabilization measures andthe paper presents partial results of research related to the one of them - double willow wattling. The measurements were realized on this structure with goal to test the effectivity of calming of waves. The methods consisted in collecting several records of water level move (waving) in front of stabilizing structure and beyond. Two synchronized fluid level sensors were used for recording of wave motion. The obtained data were statistically analyzed in order to determine the characteristic wave height on the windward and leeward side of structure. Based on comparison of the resulting values of wave heights, the efficiency of structure was quantitatively determined in relation to the damping of waves.
