Original language description
The article deals with issue of using active stabilization structures like protection of the banks in particular locality of water reservoir Brno - Osada area. In this locality was used few types of offshore active stabilization measures, but in this article is presented only one type - gabion. On this structure, the measurements were realized with goal to collect several records of water level moving (waving) before stabilizing structure and beyond. Two sensors were used for recording of wave motion. The obtained data were statistically analyzed in order to determine the characteristic wave height on the windward and leeward side of structure. Based on comparison of the resulting values, the efficiency of structure was determined in relation to the damping of waves.
