Use of airborne laser scanning data processed by areabased approach for forest stand variables estimation
Original language description
This study demonstrates a high potential of area-based approach to processing of airborne laser scanning data for forest stand volumes estimation in the Czech Republic. Further research will focus on the use of nonparametric regression models, such as k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN), k-Most Similar Neighbor (MSN). It will also be used Sparse Bayesian technique, data mining technique, such as Random Forest, and multilayer perceptron neural networks. It will also be created Python script that automates all operations.
