Responding to this possibility, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic had considered it pertinent to convene a conference for the experts involved in forestry management and nature conservation in Georgia. A final activity of the project Forest Inventory and Sustainable Forestry Management Planning in the Protected Areas of Tusheti Region, Georgia realize this conference. At the conference, the participating experts from the Georgia as well as from the Czech Republic had an opportunity to share information and knowledge, on the on ways and during forest inventory and forest management planning as well as a nature conservation management. In addition, discuss ways forwards in addressing the problems. The working language of the conference was English. The conference programme was currently being compiled and was include plenary talks by official speakers supplemented by contributed oral presentations.
