The aim of this school was to making a practical training in dendrometry and forestry planning using dendrometric instruments for measuring, demonstrations of measuring fields, data processing, sharing practical experience visits to forest administrations and services, getting acquainted with local issues-establishing cooperation-effect on assigning final theses, practical problem-solving. The school is prepared with cooperation of National Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, Gulua str. 6, 0160 Tbilisi, Georgia. At the school, which is belongs to series of workshops, the participating experts from the Czech Republic, had an opportunity to share information on the on ways and during forest inventory and forest management planning - and discuss ways forwards in addressing the problems. Responding to this possibility, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic had considered it pertinent to convene a five-day workshop for the students of Agricultural University of Georgia, who study forestry.
