Effect of alternative organic fertilizers on the nutritional value and yield of head cabbage
Original language description
Comercional brands of alternative, organic fertilizers (Agro, Dvorecký agroferm, Agormin, compost)were compared with conventional: conventional farmyard manure, mineral fertilizer, compost, using head cabbage. There were no significant differences in the nutritional value between the treatments in levels of K, Na and Ca in case of organic fertilizers. The unfertilized control had the highest levels of ascorbid acid. Significant differences between the treatments were found in the levels of nitrates. The highest marketable yields were recorded with Dvorecký agroferm and farmyard manure. The study shows that alternative, organic fertilizers have similar qualities as farmyard manure.
