Original language description
Natural plant foods as well as functional supplements of human's diet have been intensively explored for their functional properties and the therapeutic potential due to high content of the plant secondary products as bioactive food ingredients. Severalof these compounds show strong antioxidant activity in-vivo based on free radicals scavenging in the tissue exposal to the ROS attack. However, the results from medical research including numerous clinical trials showed up indifferent effects of physiological activity, the possibility of several medical applications of plant phenols have been confirmed. According to the increasing evidence of therapeutical success, related to the application of natural drugs in prevention to ROS, induced diseases including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases, the global interest in dietary sources of intrinsic antioxidant is getting a steep tendency. At present, the research of human nutrition is focused on the possibilities to quantify health
