Cholesterol content variability in marked eggs
Original language description
Egge of laying hybrids Lohman Brown from intensivelatgescale flocks contained in average 14,7 mg and 203 mf of cholesterol in 1 mg of yolk and in the whole egg, respectively. Corresponding contens of cholesterol in eggs of hens reared in small flocks offamily farms were 17,3 mg per 1 mg of yolk and 306 mg per whole egg, respectively. The differnces were highly significant (P 0,01). Eggs of japanese quail contained in average 17,7 mg and 60 mg of cholesterol in 1 mg of yolk and in whole eff, respectively.
