Effect of increasing doses of nitrogen and sulphur on yields, quality and chemical composition of winter rape
Original language description
Effects of three doses of nitrogen (0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 g N per pot) at either natural or increased levels of water-soluble sulphur and constant supply of all other nutrients were studied in pot experiments in years 1998 and 1999. The natural low content ofwater-soluble sulphur reduced S concentrations in plants to values lower than 0.4 %. An increase in Swat content in soil increased its concentration in plants to 0.7 % and showed also a positive effect on N/S ratio in plants. Increasing doses of nitrogen significantly influenced seed yields.
