Intensity of Infection by Wood-destroying Fungi after Bark Damages
Original language description
A stem was cross cut in a centre of a peeled off bark and then cross cut in 20 cm intervals up to a place where the decay caused by Stereum sanguinolentum disappeared. In digital photographs decay percentage in a particular felled tree as well as heightof decay penetrating through the stem were determined using a computer. Based on tables and diagrams it is possible to determine that decay propagation in cm per year ranges between 20 and 42 cm.
