Genetic Diversity within Czech National Core Collection of Apricots
Original language description
In this work the techniques of the Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) has been used to distinguish apricot cultivars coming from diverse geographic origin as well as to analyze its degree of genetic similarity. Such methods already produced interesting results in other fruit tree species. In this study 50 genotypes from the Czech National Core Collection of apricots were analyzed. As a basic screening 46 primers (40 from Operon - series E, M and 6 synthesized primers) has been chosen to evaluate which ones give polymorphic, repeatable and strong or middle strong bands. For this preliminary screening 6 genotypes was used, which differed in the place of origin, fruit shape, and fruit color or in other morphological characteristics. Within studied cultivars were clearly distinguished several genotypes with help of combination of 8 primers.
