Introduction and breeding of new fungus resistant varieties is a main aim to improvement of grapevine sortiment. North American Vitis spp. are still the primary source of new properties used in grapevine breeding. Asian species, such as Vitis amurensis and Vitis armata posess several desirable traits American and Asian species and latter the french hybrids from Baco, Seibel and Seyve Villard are valuable sources of cold hardiness, and resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew and gray mould.Many of newinterspecific varieties originated from Hungary, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Austria, Yugoslavia and Czech Republic. We evaluated 5 new interspecific red wine hybrids. These hybrids originated from crossing Merlan x Fratava. All hybrids have veryhigh fruitfulness. Accumulation of sugar is medium and good.
