Changes in colostral levels of dry matter (DM), protein, fat, lactose and pH were followed in 5 cross-bred (F111) owes of East-Frisian breed x Improved Valachian sheep (EF87IV) on the 2nd and subsequnt lactation within the time interval of 2 to 72 hoursafter parturition. Contents of DM, crude protein true protein and fat decreasy gradually from 29.97 to 18.58 %; 17.00 to 6.54 g/100 ml; 14.59 to 6.11 g/100 ml and 9.83 to 6.86 g/100 ml, resp. The content of lactose increased from 1.42 to 4.72 g/100 ml and the pH value fluctuated between 6.40 and 6.67. Average values of nutritional parameters under study were evaluated with regard to the lenght of postpartum period by means of regression analysis.
