The research submitted in this thesis examines intradermal vaccination in piglets in terms of immunity development, efficacy of protection again the vaccinated disease and the ability to overwhelm colostrum-derived specific antibody. A detailed overviewis provided of both the ID and classic intramuscular administration routes. Contemporary knowledge and the development of ID techniques are describes in respect of the international and national evolvement of ID devices and vaccines.
