The results thus show that the effect of supplementation of selenite and lactate-protein selenium complex from the standpoint of the ability to supply organism with Se is similar, but the speed and increase of GSH-Px activity was better with selenite, which therefore appears to be better a biologically available form of selenium for creation of biologically active selenoproteins.
