Bromadiolone-based rodenticide tested for toxicity for the earthworm E.fetida
Original language description
It was the aim of the study to evaluate the effect of the substance LaniratâConc. containing 0.25% of bromadiolone for the earthworm Eisenia fetida. The tested substance is the effective part of the rodenticidal product containing bromadiolone in the concentration of 0.005 %, which is used to control overcrowded populations of the Common Vole Microtus arvalis. Tests in the artificial substrate with the substance Lanirat Conc. 0.25% resulted in any one of the tested concentrations (i.e., 0.1, 1, 10, 100,1000 mg/ kg of the substrate) in no mortality of earthworms during the 14-day testing. LC50 (14 day) for the tested substance Lanirat Conc. 0.25% is greater than 1000 mg.kg-1 of the dry substrate.
