Study for transfer of risk elements from feed to chicken tissues
Original language description
Transfer of selected analytes from feed to chicken tissues was studied in an area where the level of contamination by xenobiotics had been checked within a pilot study. The concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury and selenium were analysed in feeds and chickens tissues. No marked transfer arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury into tissues was demonstrable during the fattening period of forty days. It in concluded that consumption of feed contaminated by risk elements at concentrations near MRLdoes not result in an increase of the content of these pollutants in chicken tissues.
