Between 2003 and 2005, C. coli and C. jejuni strains isolated from pigs, poultry and humans were tested by the agar dilution method. Resistant strains of C. coli and C. jejuni are found frequently among food animals. Resistance profile of human and poultry strains of C. jejuni showed many similarities.

Rezistence kmenů Campylobacter jejuni a C. coli izolovaných z drůbeže, prasat a z lidí k zvoleným antibiotikům. Komparativní studie.
Czech description
Cílem komparativní studie bylo zhodnocení charakteristiky rezistence ke zvoleným antibiotikům u kmenů Campylobacter coli a Campylobacter jejuni. Kmeny byly získány z prasat, drůbeže a z humánních pacientů v období 2003 - 2005. Kmeny C. coli izolované z prasat vykazovaly vysokou rezistenci k erythromycinu (56 %), tetracyklinu (62 %) a ciprofloxacinu (54 %). Kmeny C. jejuni izolované z drůbeže vykazovaly vysokou rezistenci ke kyselině nalidixové (76 %) a k ciprofloxacinu (73 %) podobně jako kmeny izolované z lidí.
