Effects of cypermethrin on some haematological, biochemical and histopathological parameters of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) OBJECTIVES: The study aimed to assess effects of a pyrethroid cypermethrin on common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) on the basis of the results of acute toxicity tests and haematological, biochemical and histological examinations. METHODS: Experimental carp were exposed to pesticide preparation Alimetrin 10 EM in the concentration of 29.1 ?g*l-1 (96hLC50) corresponding to 2.91 ?g*l-1 of cypermethrin in a 96h acute toxicity test. The results of the test and of the examinations of exposed carp were compared with the results of carp from the control group. RESULTS: In haematological profile, the experimental group of carp showed a significant (p<0.01) increase in the number of erythrocytes, segmented neutrophile granulocytes, developmental forms of myeloid sequence and eosinophiles, and a significant (p<0.01) decrease in mean erythrocyte volume, mean erythrocyte haem

CÍLE: Cílem studie bylo odhadnout účinky pyrethroidu cypermethrinu na kapra obecného (Cyprinus carpio L. na základě výsledků akutních testů toxicity a na základě výsledků hematologického, biochemického a histopatologického vyšetření. METODIKA: Pokusní kapři byli exponováni pesticidnímu přípravku Alimetrine 10 EM v koncentraci 29,1 ?g*l-1. Tato hodnota představuje 96hLC50 zjištěnou v akutním testu toxicity a odpovídá koncentraci 2,91 ?g*l-1 cypermethrinu. Výsledky testu toxicity a výsledky jednotlivých vyšetření exponovaných kaprů byly srovnány s výsledky kaprů z kontrolní skupiny. VÝSLEDKY: Hematologické vyšetření prokázalo, že kapři exponovaní cypermethrinem vykazují signifikantní zvýšení (p<0,01) počtu erytrocytů, segmentovaných neutrofilních granulocytů a vývojových forem bílé krevní řady a eosinofilů a zároveň signifikantní snížení (p<0,01) erytrocytárního objemu, střední erytrocytární koncentrace hemoglobinu a počtu lymfocytů.
