New methods for lactoferrin detection.
Original language description
Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein with iron-binding properties. It is consisted of about 700 aminoacid residues. Its molecular weight is of about 77 000 Da. Owing to its iron-binding properties, lactoferrin is thought to play a role in iron uptake by the intestinal mucosa of the suckling neonate. The main aim of this work was to suggest a method to separate lactoferrin from colostrum easily and under low demands. For separation of lactoferrin from colostrum samples monolithic column and pH and ionic gradient was used. The lactoferrin separated was consequently measured by optimized UV-VIS spectrometry at 280 nm. The content of lactoferrin in colostrum samples varied from subunits to unit of gram per litre.

Nové metody pro detekci laktoferinu
