The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of herbal antioxidants in pregnant and lactating doe rabbits on the production parameters and biochemical profile of blood on the 4th week of the lactation after 4 reproduction cycles. The experiment was performed with thirty rabbits, which were divided into 3 groups: control C (n = 10), group S (n = 10) and group AV3 (n = 10). The rabbits were fed identical feed mixture for 210 days, in group S supplemented with Silyfeed (expeler Silibum marianum) 2 g/kg feed mixture and group AV3 suplemented with PX AV3 0,36 ml/kg feed mixture. PX AV 3 contains mainly extracts of milk thistle (Sylibum marianum) and ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba). The application of both products increases the number and percentage of weaned kids in comparison with control, but the differences were not significant. From metabolic profile we found significant differences only in beta-hydroxybutyrate and creatinine, but the values were within physiologic limits.
